As an incest survivor, from a period where sexual
abuse/assault was deemed as instigated by the victim, I grew up with a very low
self-esteem. This low self-esteem was the basis for three failed marriages. In these
marriages I was physically, emotionally and sexually abused. I have been single for twelve
years now. During this period was a bout with alcoholism, then I went to college, maintained high grades, earned my
degrees, AND found a wonderful counselor. I finally learned to love myself, which is the hardest person to love. My first marriage produced five children, which are now producing grandchildren. Gee, if Id known grandkids were so much fun, Id have had them first. Love hugging and spoiling them. Giving them chocolate and ice cream just before dinner or when they have fresh clean clothes on thats my job Im Gramma! Then, when they get cranky, or need changed they go directly to Daddy, not Momma. I gave birth to the daddies! My home is shared with six Pomeranians (little foo-foo fuzzy dogs), who graciously allow me to live with them, IF I make the house payments. Although I live in town, I have chickens, the kind that lay colored eggs, of course, and my chickens have a custom built chicken house. This chicken house looks like a two-holer outhouse complete with slanted tin roof, crescent moon on the door, and a wooden door handle. I will post pictures later when I am able to get them taken. Now, that is me in a nutshell and a peanut shell. Although I barely skimmed the top, it is evident that I have not had an easy life either. This painful history has been instrumental in my development as a gentle person, and an understanding empathetic counselor. Let me hold the candle of enlightenment to light the dark path leading from despair and into the light of self-love.Let Me Light A Candle, Get You a Cup of Coffee and Lets Talk! |
