THE WESTERN HIGHLANDS

This section takes us past some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery all of which can be seen, or photographed, a short distance from the road.

Taking the A82 highway at Crianlaich, we cross the vast expanse of the Rannoch Moor and then head down to the spectacular and haunting valley of Glencoe. We then cross over Loch Leven and head up past Ben Nevis and along the course of the Great Glen which runs all the way from Inverness to Fort William.

At Invergarry we take the A87 past Loch Garry and Loch Cluanie then down through Glen Shiel to Loch Duich and Eilean Donan Castle.

Finally, we pay a visit to the picturesque village of Plockton on Loch Carron before crossing over to the Isle of Skye.
