Margaret C. Henson, 84, 112 W. National St., Harrisburg, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at her home. She was born March 29, 1916, in Hardin County, the daughter of Jesse and Rosa (Cowsert) Henson. Mrs. Henson was a retired employee of the Illinois Secretary of State Office. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Upchurch of Harrisburg; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gaylon Smith, and Gary and wife Bea Sue Smith, all of Harrisburg; a sister, Lucy Ford of Carrier Mills; seven grandchildren, Shannon Upchurch, Brian Upchurch and wife Emily, Darla and husband Glen Russell, and Libby and husband Brett Basden; 15 grandchildren, Tiffany, Terra, Jameson, Natasha, Haley, Brittany, Heather, Eddie, Cody, Dakota, Dustin, Dylan, Brandon, Parker and Addison; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Glendle Upchurch; a brother, George; three sisters, Olive, Ruth and Mayme; a grandson, Brandon Lee; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Dawn. Funeral services were 11 a.m. today, Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, with the Rev. Bernie Cowgill officiating. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. Burial was in Dixon-Volkert Cemetery in Rosiclare.

Howard Osman, 82, of 100 W. Sloan St., Harrisburg, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999 at 2:25 p.m. at Harrisburg Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Mable Osman. They were married Dec. 26, 1939. Also surviving are a son, Jerry Osman of Harrisburg; a daughter, Janet Dutton of Harrisburg; a sister, Ruth Rivach of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hattie Osman, two brothers, Marvin Osman and Millard Osman, two sisters, Gladys Sinsabough, Ruby Patton and Golda Hardesty, and his parents, Henry and Hattie Osman. Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, where visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Caroll Collins officiated. Entombment was at Good Hope Cemetery in Karbers Ridge. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Mable Marie Osman, 80, of rural Elizabethtown, died 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at her residence. Mrs. Osman attended church at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. She is survived by one son, Jerry Osman of Harrisburg; one daughter, Janet Dutton of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Etta (Davis) Conkle; her husband, Howard Osman; one son, Larry Osman; and one brother, James Ewell Conkle. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, with the Rev. Arthur Austin Jr. officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today, Aug. 25, at the funeral home. Burial is in Good Hope Cemetery at Karbers Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
