| Time or Eternity This is my first story, the one that struggled for years in my head, begging to see paper. First I named it A Time of Change, and would be horribly embarressed to read that first draft again. This is a young adult novel that deals with several issues we are faced with daily. A young girl is in love with a man who is not a member of the church. He's good to her and kind, but he struggles with worldy pressures. After a devestating car accident, she is left in a coma. Her mother blames her boyfriend and the boyfriend blames himself. It is a story about forgiveness, acceptance and love. This book has once again been rejected, and I have filed it away as a great learning experience. |
| My Spiritual Journey The Journals of Cateline Fortier Written in journal form, this story captures the heart and feelings of a non-LDS girl on a Mormon wagon train. An orphan at age four, she leaves the couple who raised her to find an aunt in Nebraska. The aunt has passed on and Cateline is left on her own, penniless. When a man from the wagon train offers to take her to Salt Lake City in exchange for her help with his sick wife and children, she takes it. |
