I worked for 13 years as Master on vessels to 100ft 130 Gross Ton commercial fishing out of Point Judith Rhode Island. For 15 years as Master on vessels to 90ft, 100 gross ton in San Diego and Mexico. I have made many voyages On the pacific Ocean from Port Angeles Washington. To Ixtapa, Mexico and in the Sea Of Cortez and from Los Angeles Ca. to Ko-Olina Hawaii. I am familiar with the major ports in this area. I have also made voyages on the Atlantic Ocean between New Bedford Mass. And West Palm Beach, Fla. And I am familiar with the major ports in this area. I hold a Near Coastal Masters License to 100 ton, offshore to 200 Miles with Commercial Assistance Towing endorsement. I have worked under this License over 15 years without incident. I speak fluent Spanish. |

As Master I was required to maintain this vessel in Bristol condition and see to the maintenance of the engines and all systems. I managed a $1000 account for that purpose. I have developed a comprehensive maintenance plan that is based on engine hours and elapsed time. I have operated this vessel from Oxnard Ca. to Ixtapa Mexico and extensively in the Sea of Cortez. I have managed a 1 to 2 man crew while in Mexico. |

As Captain on the Mr. George It was my responsibility to maintain this vessel in Bristol Condition and ready for the owners use with as little as 4 hours notice. I maintained the 2-12V71 Detroit and 2- 15kw Gen. Sets in topnotch condition, doing the required maintenance on schedule. I set up a full boat Maintenance Schedule which included all systems, such as the Water Maker, exercising the through hull valves, the steering and controls hydraulic systems, refrigeration systems etc. I managed a $4,000 account that was used to purchase maintenance items for the boat and to keep it stocked with food, liquor and other items required for a smooth operation. I managed one crewman and a part time chef. I wrote a hurricane plan for this vessel because we were cruising in the La Paz area year round. I also wrote a Waste Management plan for this vessel as required by the U. S. Coast Guard. |
