According to stats, cyber pets, virtual pets, or what ever you called them were really successful. The idea of a small piece of plastic with 2 microchips that could become your best friend was great. Originally it was a small black and white LCD screen that would show you dots representing an animal, being a dog, cat, fish or even bee. Yes they were popular for their time... but now we want games that have amazing flashing lights, noises and songs, not a few beeps and colour (color) less graphics. If you'll call them that.
2 moths ago Aaron G pondered over this (game 'stormer'), he came up with the idea of reintroducing cyber pets .
After a long descension in the meeting room, David passed the idea and the team set to work right away.
Cyber pets were limited things, since they were only on a small chip witch would have to work as a computer. They were already preprogrammed to do things, such as when It got to level 4 (age 4) it meant it would learn not to poop so much, etc. But when you can teach it to actually do something new that is what games should be about.
On taking the idea, DGR decided to bend a few rules that an original cyber pet could not do... like a whole game of football included, being able to go online and buy things for your pet with the virtual money you earned in game...
DGR PD's PetWorld 2003 is said to be a small time big hit. If that makes scene...
Also DGR PD have givin us a little more info... PetWorld is sure to be released around December, hopefully earlier. But the game will include all main features of any cyber pet, and introducing many, many more... (and we know you get cyber pets with amazing stuff.... DGR PD will give you more)
I think this may be the first of a whole series of Pet Wrold games. The name gives it away...
