David Robert Madison Genn, AKA "Dirty Old Man." In Japanese, "Gen" is actually a boy's name and it means "foundation." Dave is half Japanese (mama) and half caucasion (papa) but considers himself to be Canadian. Does the man know any Japanese? I don't know. He has a younger sister and a younger brother who are fraternal twins. When they were younger, they kicked Dave's ass big time. Every single day after school, they'd track him down and just pummel him. And Dave couldn't do anything about it because he was such a weakling! But once they hit maturity, Dave was safe as they developed career interests to pursue. His sister dabbles in the visual arts (as well as acting I heard) and his brother has his toes in filmmaking. Their father is also an artist and writes weekly diddies to encourage all other artists out there.

So back to Dave. His mom put him in piano lessons at a very early age and he completed the Grade 10 Conservatory at the age of 18. At age 10 he had also taken up guitar and was playing bar gigs by the age of 15. When I was 15, I was printing out funny pictures of my friends and typing odd captions on them to stick on my friends' lockers on their birthdays. Prior to joining up with MGB, he played with 24 Gone, DSK, Art Bergman and many more. He's also into producing and has done numerous guest spots for other musicians' records (even did the score for one of his bro's short films). I hear he has a thing for Sailor Moon, Geri Halliwell, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, cheerleaders and the name "Cracknell." He's also a big Playstation fan and plays Dance Dance Revolution whenever he gets a chance. Sometimes, late at night, you can see this elusive creature dancing away at Playdium.

Dave was born on March 2, 1969 and lived in White Rock but went to highschool in Vancouver (Saint George's Private School). He is also the shortest of the band so to compensate, he styles his hair up as high as he can. What a loser. He liked Dep Super Hold and Final Net Extra during the so-called "1980's" but then went on to use Sebastian Molding Mud. I'm sure he made little models of bunnies with that mud. The man is a Pisces from the planet of Neptune, is associated with Water signs, and has many secrets. I am sure he has the missing Strange Days footage of Matt stripped down to the bare essentials lying about his humble abode.

Dave spends his free time flying kites in local landfills as he enjoys the smell of rancid milk.
