Horace Barrett
[abt. 1835 - bef. 1883]

Horace Barrett, son of Joshua P. Barrett and Priscilla Long, was born in Illinois. He married Catherine Bean, daughter of Thomas Henry Bean and Lucinda Finch, on September 15, 1859 in Jefferson County, Illinois. They had three known children, all of whom later migrated to Dunklin County, Missouri.

Horace Barrett participated in the Civil War as a Union private, in Company D., 53d Infantry, Illinois.
