Welcome to the new website for the
DFW Liver Disease Support Group! All those words were just too long,
so I selected DFWHCV as our url cuz it's easier to remember. The DFW Liver Disease Support Group has
grown to encompass other chronic illnesses such as fibromyalgia,
chronic fatigue, etc. because these are problems we all share.
This is where I try to keep track of the HCV happenings in our area. We have several great support groups that meet live monthly and online groups and chat rooms and I wanted to offer a place to combine as much of that great info as I can. Check out Meetup.com for other local Hep C groups. I'll try to update soon with some more links. Write me if you have any questions or comments :). Have time
to help out? Want space on our website? Or want to comment or just have someone to talk to about HCV?

The most common symptoms are flu-like - low grade fever, fatigue, malaise, etc. Not everyone has symptoms of Hep C, which is why it's also called THE SILENT KILLER. The longer a person has HCV, the more severe the symptoms may become or they may disappear entirely. Some long term symptoms of HCV are chronic fatigue, depression, fibromyalgia, bowel problems, insomnia, etc. How is the virus spread? The virus can be spread by:
