This one I called "Still Life?" definitely with the questionmark since, as you can observe, this is not a painting of live flowers. I think I was motivated by a mixture of the irony of painting a still life of dead flowers, and the actual beauty integral to the flowers themselves. The colours were fascinating and the translucency of the clover petals especialy was a challenge I just couldn't resist. Definitely one of the more challenging pictures I've painted.

Painted recently after my cat Jellybean (the b&W) had died this painting is definitely not for sale.
