| The Antichrist
...the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 The coming one man Antichrist was mentioned Biblically by Isaiah, Daniel, Jesus, Paul, and John. Beyond the Bible, the coming one man Antichrist was mentioned by Christians in the first, second, third, and fourth centuries (Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Hippolytus, Tertullian, Cyprian, Cyril, Lactantius, Victorianus, John Chrysostom, Ephraem, etc). Interestingly, Augustine of Hippo, Jerome, Martin Luther, and John Calvin didn't seem to believe in a coming one man Antichrist although their predecessors did. However, this does not discredit their complete works entirely. It simply means they were not Biblical in the mentioned areas. Nevertheless, Satan the fallen angel called Lucifer will possess a man and will rise up in power to govern the world. The antichrist will be very charismatic, a politician, a businessman, an intellectual and military genius, Liberal, politically correct, pro-choice, pro-homosexual, interfaith, socially "tolerant," either homosexual or celibate (Daniel 11:37), cunning, will proclaim himself to be god, and will desire the censorship of Christians and Jews. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 John 2:18 There are many antichrists but there is one Antichrist.
