I am a 38 year old, single, African-American woman. I'm 5'5" (165cm) and I weigh... too much but I'm currently fighting and winning the battle of the bulge. My skin is caramel colored and my eyes and hair are brown. I've also got freckles on my cheeks. Friends tell me I'm funny, reasonably attractive and fun to be with.

Family is extremely important to me. My immediate family is quite small. I am a single mom (by choice) to a beautiful child who is the light of my life. Our big black tomcat kindly lets us share our home with him too! I have a large extended family living within driving distance and we are all quite close.

My interests are many and varied but I love reading and writing most of all. In fact, I've written two novels and numerous short stories over the years. I've never tried to get anything published though. When I retire I dream of moving to a log cabin in the mountains to concentrate on my writing... of course I also dream of traveling the world but I don't think the two are mutually exclusive.

My grandmother is fond of saying "With all you've got going for you I just can't understand why some man hasn't snapped you up!" Of course she's my grandmother so her opinion of my merits is probably somewhat biased. It's true that all the female relatives of a similar age in my family have long since found mates and gotten on with "happily ever after" while I have remained single. I doubt any of them suspect the real reason I have such trouble finding a soulmate. You see, what none of my family and none of my friends know is that I'm a Female Devotee.
