I had to find an engine and transmission, witch was a chore in itself. I ended up with a SB 305 and 700R4 from a late 80's Camero. Click Here for a picture of the new drive line.
The Brake system was a shambles, and in dire need of updating. Follow this to the Brakes page.
The origional body was not as solid as I was led to believe. Infact, the only parts that were worth saving, were the lower cab corners. Here you can see the origional cab.
I ended up having to get a totaly new cab. I found a 1955 1st series GMC cab for only $200! I was lucky enough to find a colector who had a spare, and was willing to part with it for a military discount price. Thanks Mr. Peterson. Click Here to see the new cab.
