ZAP!!!

ZZZZZAAAAAAPPPPPP!!!

Now it was just a matter of popping the chip into their EPROM interface, loading a profile, and hitting a button. ZAP!!! Of course, they thoroughly test the chip's integrity first. If there are any problems, JET keeps hundreds of stock computer chips on hand, and can replace a defective chip with little hassle.

Once this was done, Bryant plugged everything back together, connected it to my Rodeo, and started it up. If there were ANY problems, the car would not start. Bryant likes to do this as a little safety net before he solders the chip back in.

Back upstairs, Bryant finishes the job by applying a solder to the connectors, just to make sure everything is REAL permanent, and screws it all back together. Outside, the tech installs the computer, and the whole job is complete.

Bryant was able to give me lots of good "insider" information about the custom car industry, and we exchanged web site info as well. He even brought up the Severed Ties home page, right there at work! If you have any chip work that you would like done, I highly recommend JET performance. Just give them a call, I bet they can modify the computer in YOUR car.
