WE ARE
"The
Delta Phi Epsilon Metro Detroit Alumnae Association is comprised of Delta
Phi Epsilon alumnae who have a special focus and share a common bond of
sisterhood, service, social, self, and scholarship.
The association is an opportunity for alumnae to enrich their
personal lives by offering social and networking opportunities in addition
to developing our already established sisterhood."
- From the MDAA Constitution
OBJECTIVE
MDAA's objective as an organization is "...fulfilling
the lifetime membership commitment through continued participation;
strengthening the local collegiate chapters and International
Organization; and supporting the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation,
Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation."
HISTORY
In late 2003, a group of women from the Metropolitan
Detroit area came together for the purpose of sharing a lifetime
dedication to Delta Phi Epsilon. This group of women, organized by Melissa
Hoffman, soon became a recognized association.
The Metro Detroit Alumnae
Association was chartered on May 23, 2004 by 25 women. (See the
