The Matrix
I agree, that movie rules. Especially because the producers created new effects,
which were then cheaply copied in movies such as, Spiderman, Bullet-Proof Monk and
many others. In Shrek, it appears that they copy it too, but, you know, it is animation so
it's not really copied.
All right, so I'm not the greatest fan of the movie... I even watched it first in year
2001 (NOT SURE if 2001 or 2000). At that time, after reading the description in the T.V. schedule, I decided to watch it... I think what made me really watch it completely was the fact that at the beginning you see a phone call "decoder" and then a zoom in the numbers. I found that very "cool" so I kept on watching the movie. The funny thing was that it was the French version...
Anyways, maybe a lot of fans of The Matrix will hate me after this paragraph, but eh, that's what I think... All right, after seeing the trailers, commercials, Super Bowl ad and all the rest, I think the second one will not be SUPER COOL. Now, before you start sending me death-threatening mails, keep on reading. On a scale of 10x1099 I would rate it one nano units less... You Matrix fan are probably saying, "YOU'RE NUTS!!! IT DOESN'T DESERVE THAT RATING!!!" But a sex scene with Trinity and Neo isn't
that enchanting... All right, Trinity is pretty hot in all those latex clothes, but it was too predictable. I knew from the start that something would happen between Neo and
Trinity.
Talking of the effects... The best effect in the first movie would have to be the bullet effect when Trin and Neo are on top of the army building and one of Agent Smith's colleagues starts shooting at Neo and then Trinity asks how did he do that and, etc. in the second movie (It's still not out yet, don't worry... Only 13 more days...) I think that best effects will be when the twins disappears and reappears (teleportation), the other one would be when Neo fights 100 Agent Smiths (I'm gonna count 'em all when I get the video/DVD)(By the way at one point in that scene Neo turns around with the metal bar, and his "cape" is FAKE!!! YOU ACTUALLY NOTICE IT'S A COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGE!!! Now, hopefully it's only a camera "screwed up shot".) Anyways, those two effects are really amazing. Another one which I find really cool is the effect where you see the Aura (The aura is simply the energy field surrounding any object... Read Hunter X Hunter #6-7 to find more) Another effect which they talked about is that they supposively used a super powerful 3-D generator program where you won't see the difference between a normally filmed room and a 3-D generated room (Simone!!!)
Now all I have to do is wait until the second matrix comes out!!! I can't wait
NOTE: I was basically drooling during the trailers. |
