Auxiliary Police Force
The West Point Police Department Auxiliary Police Force is made up of 20 exemplary citizens who volunteer there time to the city.  Auxiliary officers are required to complete various training programs and firearms certification.

Once appointed, Auxiliary officers are required to attend all meetings and work at least four hours per month.  Many of them work their four hours and then some.

Auxiliary officers work with patrol officers, assisting with patrol duties.  Auxiliary officers also help with special events, such as parades, festivals, ceremonies.

Auxiliary officers are also available for emergency call-outs, should the need arise for additional manpower.

Auxiliary officers are an asset to the department, and should be commended for their tireless and faithful service to the citizens   of West Point.
