I am interested in music, literature, trekking, electronics....
Music is my greatest passion.

Rock Music. My favourite artists are

Bhimsen Joshi, Ustad Rashid Khan

Country: Don Williams, Willie Nelson, John Denver, Johnny Cash
Rock & other: Beatles, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Simon &

I learnt Guitar for two years in Pune under the guidance of Shri. Nitin
Kulkarni. He is a very nice person and a great guitar player himself. I
really admire him.
After moving to Bangalore, I started learning Hindustani Classical
Vocals.
My Guru is Shri. Mukund Gore. He is very knowledgeable and known in the
Bangalore Hindustani Classical circle for his excellent saath on
Harmonium to many great artists. He has also performed for All India
Radio. His daughter Kumari Ashwini Gore is a gifted vocalist. Trained
under her father, she is emerging as a promising artist. Her voice is
versatile and she sings all kinds of musics - from Hindi film, Marathi
naaTyasangiit to Hindustani Classical with equal grace. Sou. Gore, wife
of my Guru is also a good singer of Marathi bhaavagiite.
I thank them for developing my taste for Hindustani Classical Music.
Literature
I like reading but my reading has been limited to some Marathi
books. Pu. La. Deshpande always fascinated me. I also like poetry from
Kusumagraj.
I have tried to write a few poems myself. (plan to add them here).
I have also written a one act play titled 'jivant' which is to be
performed at Maharashtra Mandal, Bangalore.
Trekking
Great forts in Sahyadri Mountains attract me for trekking. Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj and his simple, brave maavaLaa warriors have influenced
my imagination since childhood. I feel a sense of pride &
satisfaction after trekking to the top of a fort.
My list of treks is not long - raajamaachii, LohagaD, RaajagaD,
prataapagaD, raayagaD, shivanerii, purandar.
Electronics is no longer my
hobby, because it's my profession.
