| 7-19-2003: IT'S BEEN AWHILE, BUT DOES ANYONE EVEN CHECK THIS SITE OUT ANYMORE? Well since the last post, many things have happened, with me personally at least. I Do now have a new band formed, Molly Coddle, which consists of those members which i discussed in the last post. As of now we have material started and a song more or less finished, but we have alot we are planning to accomplish before we set out to play shows. First of all a Demo CD. Now I know it sounds outlandish and ridiculaous to get a demo BEFORE playing shows ad getting somewhat of fan base, but that is how we have decided to gain a fan base. And besides, most venues will not allow you to play with at least a decent demo, and many make presskits mandatory. Therefore we are going to work on such before going public. Ryan and Tom are playing occasionally, more or less jamming, and as of now have spoken nothing about actually starting another band. Alex seems to not enjoy the music scene anymore. He occasionally plays bass, but generally spends time hanging with his g/f. The last CD may never come, and i apologize. In my opinion things just somewhat imploded, and there was no possible way to repair the damage. Not to point fingers or anything, but the demise of DC came from people that could not accept who/what we were. I am very sorry, and i pray such events do not cause the demise of my new band, Moly Coddle. This is most likely the last post for awhile. But PLEASE sign the guest book or the message board. Much to my dismay,our final performance has been pushed back to a further date. Destructive Criticism will in fact have a final show though. When and Where no one knows, but of course we shall keep you updated. What does this mean for Destrucitve Criticism? Well as discussed in the previous post, The band IS breaking up, but not until a few things are finished. One of which is the Destructive Criticism CD. Which will consist of the four songs created after the release of the first CD/demo. Next the final show. How can we quit without a final performance? Ryan is doing other things. He has started a project with Alex (bassist of DC), Michael Orr, and may possibly have Sean Egan (Drummer from Vex) join him. Ryan will continue to sing as well as play guitar. Tom is looking to join another band. So if you are interested in having him join you, email him at: [email protected] I, Josh Froman, have another band put together. I will join Chris Ward (Ex-lead singer of Barada), Matt Urisich, and Andrew Seaman. We are going to start pracicing in the near future. I am going to sing, or attempt to, once again, and for the first time, I shall also play rythym guitar. It shall be fun, but I will never forget DC! I love you all! Well well, As I'm sure many of you have hoped for, Destructive Criticism is soon to be no more. May 24th is to be our last show, and hopefully many of you will take the time to witness this event. See the shows section for more details. What is to happen with the members? Well, Alex and Ryan are planning on working with one another once more. I wish them luck. As far as tom and I, well we are keeping our options open. Will the band ever be again? Well as far as now , we are looking for at least a three month break, and time for "other things". Well well, we DC had the priveledge to plyay with possibly the coolest guys in history, My Hostage Heart. Which was the Kentucky based band I had spoken of, NOT the Giggies! They were talented drunkard old men straight from our Indianapolis heartland. It was an incredible show , although the lack of attendance. But hey, that's what happens when you don't promote right. We've had worse shows ... ie Premo's back in June! March 29, 2003 in fishers is not to happen. We DC were just recently informed that a school event has been scheduled to take place at the venue we'd scheduled with. NO big deal, we are still going to play with the band AVA in the future, and that show is to happen in april sometime. The exact date, i'll keep you posted. We were privledged to get another show at the Refuge, but due to improper planning on our part, the show will not include us. Oh Well, we still have Three Shows in March, so I am not complaining! March 1 DC will return to the refuge. As of now, not much has been said as to what bands are playing, and at what times. We are going on between 7 and 9. That is as vivid as I can be on the details, I apologize on this lack of information. WE NOW HAVE A MESSAGE BOARD! Well it came to my attention, that someone has used our name as their CD title. As I e-mailed the band and explained the irony as well as the flattery, I was befuddled to get a wretched reply. They took my message the wrong way. Now they hate me. God bless the internet! In March, the tables have turned. We have several shows. First off The Logo's DC Reunion Show w/ Special Guest Alex Morse is March 8th. Then we have the Good ol' Butterfly Memorial Concert Just a mere few days away on March 16 @ Center Grove High School. Then finally Destructive Criticism Is set to play with the Ohio Based Band Rookie on March 29.... Not too shabby! Now I must add that possibly one or ALL shows (except Butterfly Memorial) may be cancelled/rescheduled due to personal issues. We will inform you of any mishaps at the latest, one week in advance. Hmm guess I think of nothing else. SO, We DC, have decided to meet this "your motherfucking nightmare" , and settle this the positive old school way: "A RAP OFF!". So "your motherfucking nightmare", if you're game, and Lord knows we are, simply post yet another message in our guestbook of when and where the rap off shall be. WHo knows, maybe i'll even rap aboot my dead mother! :) As of now, we have a show set up with the Ohio based band ROOKIE, but the details of this event we shall give to you's guys on a future date.
