Destiny's Palace Animal Assistance & Welfare League, Inc. or DPAAWL is a relatively new organization that began in January of 2007. Although we have been rescuing animals for many years privately, it has always been our dream and passion to start a nonprofit organization that will not only benefit the animals in need, but also pet owners that find themselves in need of financial assistance (ex: dog food, medical supplies, etc...), to be able to keep their pets by helping the pet owner get the food, shelter, and or medical treatment that their animal may need in order to help them keep their loved one at home where it belongs. We are trying to reach out and help the animals within our community as well as our surrounding areas. Our goal is to also help people within our community, to keep healthy, happy, life long companions.

We currently work with the following organizations:
Lewis County Dog Pound.
To help save the lives of many dogs that would otherwise be put down. When it is time for the dogs to be put down, we go pick them up, bring them to the rescue (if space is available), take care of them, and seek out adoptive homes for these wonderful animals.
Lewis County S.P.C.A.
We take in some of the animals they rescue from unhealthy situations. We provide these animals with a safe, caring, and loving environment. While providing them with proper medical, dietary, and emotional care for each individual animal.
Working with the Lewis County S.P.C.A allows us to help ensure the proper treatment of animals. This will also enable us to find people that are in need within our communities, and possibly be able to help them keep their animal (s) through education, emotional and (or) financial support (If funds permit).
