| Adoption Fees: Although adoption fees vary from time to time this is due to the individual cost incurred by the animal for (vet bills, etc...) We try to make it very affordable to adopt a pet. Regular Adoption Fee: $15.00 (dogs & cats) This helps us to cover the cost of food, which in turn makes it where we are able to help other animals in need. Regular Adoption Fee: $500.00 (horses) This fee can vary up or down depending on care given. (We currently have no horses up for adoption) Wish List: We also have what is known as a wish list. If you are interested in a certain type of dog, cat, or horse, please feel free to email us and let us know. We will put your name on the wish list, and when we recieve a match we will contact you letting you know that we have that animal available. You can contact us via email, regular mail, or by phone. | Adoption Rules and Requirements 1. There will be an Adoption Screener's Worksheet filled out by the individual that you speak with about adopting a pet. 2. Once Adoption Screener's Worksheet is filled out and completed by adoption agent, and you are approved, then Adoption Contract will be processed. 3. Each animal (referring to dog's and cat's) will be required to be tagged by the owner. This will be followed up by DPAAWL. 4. Depending on circumstances, location, own or rent, available land for your animal to run, you may be required to spay or neuter your pet. 5. Please note: If you rent your home, you will be required to give Landlord's name and phone number. This is so DPAAWL can make sure that the animal is approved to live in your home and does not end up homeless again. (This is a requirement). 6. You will be responsible for making sure that all shots for the animal are kept up to date and current. |
