July 17th 2009:

I qualified for the North & South tournament shooting a 78 (tied for 11th out of 91 contestents). Unfortunately, I lost my first match 2&1 against Stacey Keating from Australia. My drives and short game were great, however it was my iron play that needed to be better. I learned what it means to be "D.R.'d" ;-) But it has been a great experience playing in that tournament and I will certainly try again next year.

June 25th 2009:

Finishing up my sophomore year at UNCP I achieved five all tournament team selections and was named Academic All American for the second straight time with a GPA of 4.0. I was also named Most Value Player for the women's golf team at UNCP.

This summer I tried to qualify for the US Open at Forest Creek, but missed by 4 shots. Again I played the Moore County Amateur and came in tied for second place scoring 72, 75. At this point I am preparing for the North & South Amateur Tournament at Pinehurst #2 next month.

July 23rd 2007:

Today was MY DAY. I'll remember this one for a long time. I finally made my first HOLE IN ONE! It was on number 17 at National, it was about 160 yards uphill. I hit it, the ball took off, bounced once about 5 feet short and rolled right in the cup. I was even able to see it go in the hole, what a feeling. It couldn't have been a better birthday gift :-)

June 21st 2007:

No one was more consistent playing the 2007 North Carolina State Amateur Championship than me. With rounds of 76/76/76 (eventhough it was raining cats and dogs the second day) I came in fourth place out of the entire field.

June 13th 2007:

Unfortunately I did not qualify for the 2007 US Women's Open. I started out being one under for the first nine holes of the 36 hole sectional qualifier, but was not able to keep it up. I'll just do it next year! I did finish 2nd by one stroke at the Moore County Amateur Championship with rounds of 68 and 77.

May 14th 2007:

I am one step closer to playing in the US Womens Open after successfully passing the local Qualifyer at Salisbury Country Club. I fired a 73 to end up being tied for 11th out of 98 players. The next and last hurdle is June 11th at Keith Hills at the Sectional Qualifyer... If I advance there then I'm on to play against some of the best golfers in the world at Pine Needles!

February 12th 2007:

I added a new page to my website called schedule, where I have posted a list of possible tournaments that I will be playing this year. Also I added some very funny videos to my links section, check them out!

January 2nd 2007:

I was voted "Women’s player of the year 2006" by the Fayetteville Observer for "winning the A Flight in the Amateur Golf Tour Championship while competing against men."

October 29th 2006:

I won the National Amateur Golf Tour Championship in Hilton Head in the A Flight, which makes me the first female ever in the history of the tour to win the Championship. (The Amateur Golf Tour is the biggest Amateur Tour in the Country.) I beat approximately 127 males and one female in my Flight. Out of the entire field of 461 players I am tied for 10th place including about 120 guys from the Championship Flight.
Going into the second round on Sunday I was 9 strokes out of the lead, however I shot a 74 to take home the win by one stroke.

August 12th 2006:

I broke 3 personal records and tied one course record... Today I broke my so far all time best score of 72 by 5 shots! I shot a 67 at Longleaf from the green tees and broke Par AND 70 for the very first time! Great feeling. I also tied the course record for the Ladies.

August 5th 2006:

I earned my fourth Win this year on the Golf Amateur Tour at "The Pit" with a solid round of 76. Also for the first time this year I won the Closest to the Pin contest on their signature Par 3 which has an island green.
