| History: Hung Yu Tian is the very energetic, often stubborn niece and ward of Hung Hsi Kuan. Yu nicknamed Jade is the daughter of Hsi Kuan�s late elder sister Mei Lan. Mei Lan was killed in the same plane crash that claimed the lives of Hsi Kuan�s parents. Since then, she has lived with her granduncle Hung Lao and her Uncle Hsi Kuan. In her early childhood she developed a connection with Hsi and began to follow and attempt to do anything to gain his praise. Hsi Kuan, flattered by her hero worship, took to the girl, letting her tag along as he learned. As she has studied Yu has shown a great aptitude for both martial arts and magic. It remains to see what direction she will go in as a Demon hunter. She demonstrates great intelligence and a preference to the more mystical portions of the shih�s skill. Perhaps this is an affect of her closeness to her Aunt Meng Fa, who is a Wu Lung mage. Hung Yu is a pretty young girl, who radiates energy and excitement. She is also stubborn, fiercely independent and will do too much to prove her worth at times. She loves Hsi Kuan as more a father/big Brother, than an uncle and will defend him as best she can. She excels at martial arts, in particular the sport/art of Wu Shu in which she ranked very high in competitions before leaving Hong Kong. If jade has a major flaw, its that she sometimes leaps too eagerly into the path of danger. She wants to be what she belives is expected of her and to earn her uncle's praise. She can occassionally come off as brash, but seldom more than playfully rude. Since moving to Little Asia, Yu has become best friends with Ai Kadan, the adopted daughter of Wah Sing Ku, the Hsien regent and a child Hsien herself. If there is a recipe for trouble, its definitely to leave these two alone for too long with a chance to "save the day". Jade has also taken quite closely to Hsi kuan's new wife Mai Nakamura. She came to know Mai during her initial time in the US and conciders the beautiful Shih to be her second big sister and loves Mai very much. In fact Hung Yu was one of those around Hsi playing matchmaker during he and Mai's courtship. Currently Jade attends ST. Thomas Aquinas High School in little Asia with her cousin Lamar and friends Megan Fisher, Michael and Paiku. |
