Playing a key role in effecting coordination within the team as well as between teams to ensure completion of the project within acceptable timeframes. This project resulted in several hundred thousand dollars in cost savings as a result of streamlined communication with all of United's workforce as well as in paper, printing and other cost savings.
Played a key role in the support and maintenance of United's revenue management system. Entrusted with the task of evaluating competing graphical reporting solutions to generate graphs for Region managers to analyse and capture trends. Subsequent to the cost cutting that came into effect as a result of the sad events of September 11th 2001, the project had its budget cut. I designed an in-house solution using Excel and VBA to effectively accomplish almost all the capabilities that were expected in a commercial solution. The tool is currently being used on a daily basis to observe trends and implement actions and measures. This effort resulted in exceptional cost savings, both from an operational perspective as well as from a capital budget perspective.
