Some food for thought when getting your ideas & thoughts together for your website:
I will ask you to consider a few important thoughts when developing your successful web site!
1. What is the purpose of your web site? Is it for information, sales, marketing, PR?
What demographics are your targeting? This will help you pick your style & tone of writing. Also, be sure to use energetic, up beat language. This will keep your readers attention and focus.
Any brochures, newsletters and other materials will provide a great source of information to incorporate into your site. Keeping in mind that you want to select materials for your demographics. A web site can be the perfect place to display information that your customers may want at their fingertips rather then make a phone call. (Directions, menu, prices, etc..) You may want to consider surfing the web to research your competitors. Maybe this will help give you some ideas as well.
Organization is a pet peeve of mine. You want to consider the way that you group items together. For example items under the same category/ides or items that will not be changing should be grouped together and those requiring frequent changes can be grouped together. This will allow for easy revisions in the future and helps your reader quickly find the information they desire.
Graphics and digital pictures can bring personality and vitality to your site. But, please keep in mind that some of these items could require a greater length of time to download for your clients--causing frustration--this we don't want! I have a design checker on my program that will help ensure that we don't run into this problem!
Once set up you will need to check your email, or have me train you to do so, or I can do it for you! I can also train you on checking your site Statistics! Who, when & how many people are viewing your site! All you have to do is call!
