Certains d'entre nous sont français, d'autres indonésiens, mais tous nous travaillons ensemble depuis longtemps au sein du Lycée Internationnal Français de Jakarta. Après le tsunami du 26 décembre 2004, nous avons voulu engager une action concrète pour aider la population d’Aceh et du Nord de Sumatra en Indonésie.

Nous voulons aider à rééquiper des écoles ayant été endommagées ou détruites par le tsunami et le tremblement de terre : équipements, mobilier, fournitures, les besoins sont immenses. 1437 écoles sont à reconstruire totalement ou partiellement dans cette région, ce qui représente un enjeu considérable dont la durée sera certainement de plusieurs années.

Le rôle de notre association est de rechercher et de récolter les dons mais aussi et surtout de veiller à ce que les fonds récoltés soient directement et entièrement investis dans les écoles. En conséquence nous travaillons sans intermédiaires, et assurons directement le financement des entrepreneurs locaux, après avoir fait établir nous-mêmes les devis. Nous sommes directement en contact avec les directeurs des écoles et avec l'Unicef sur place.

Dès la création de notre association, nous avons été rapidement sollicités par le Ministère de l'Education Nationale française pour assurer la mise en place et le suivi des différents projets de parrainage ou de jumelage entre des établissements scolaires indonésiens de Sumatra et des structures françaises.

Auprès du Ministère de l’Education Nationale Indonésienne, nous avons obtenu un accord de principe sur notre projet et son mode de fonctionnement. Nous sommes en liaison avec le Comité du ministère de l’Education Nationale Indonésienne chargé du choix et de l’implantation des écoles à reconstruire. Par ailleurs les responsables de ce Comité nous ont proposé d’apposer sur les bâtiments reconstruits par notre association une plaque indiquant l’origine des dons ayant permis les travaux.

Le Lycée International Français soutient notre action et nous apporte son aide.

Dès maintenant, notre initiative doit être diffusée auprès de toutes les bonnes volontés et des donateurs potentiels.

Beberapa dari kami berwarganegara Perancis dan sebagian lain berwarganegara Indonesia, tetapi kami semua telah mengenal dan bekerja bersama sejak lama di Sekolah Internasional Perancis di Jakarta. Setelah terjadinya tsunami pada tanggal 26 Desember 2004, kami memulai membuat suatu aksi untuk menolong penduduk Aceh dan Sumatera Utara di Indonesia.

Kami berkeinginan untuk membantu pembangunan kembali sekolah-sekolah yang rusak akibat gempa dan tsunami : gedung dan perlengkapannya, peralatan, furniture sekolah, yang tentunya semua itu membutuhkan biaya yang sangat besar. Di sana kurang lebih terdapat 1.437 sekolah yang harus dibangun kembali, baik keselurahan rusak ataupun hanya sebagian saja yang hancur, dengan demikian untuk pemulihan kembali akan membutuhkan waktu beberapa tahun.

Tujuan dari Yayasan kami tidak hanya mencari dana dan menyalurkannya tetapi yang lebih utama adalah memastikan bahwa dana yang diterima, disalurkan langsung dan tepat tujuan untuk pembangunan kembali gedung sekolah dan melengkapi peralatannya.

Oleh karena itu kami bekerja tanpa perantara, dan kami memastikan dana bantuan tersebut langsung diterima oleh kontraktor lokal, yang bekerja berdasarkan perencanaan estimasi biaya yang kami buat dan kami juga berhubungan langsung dengan para kepala sekolah dari sekolah-sekolah yang kami bantu.

Kami telah mendapatkan persetujuan prinsip secara lisan dari Departemen Pendidikan Nasional Indonesia mengenai rencana bantuan yang akan kami berikan. Kami mempunyai hubungan dengan Posko Aceh Dikdasmen. Mereka memberikan kepada kami peta jalur informasi dan data antar posko pusat dan posko kabupaten/kota untuk penanggulangan pendidikan pasca bencana di Aceh dan Sumatera Utara yang dapat kami gunakan sebagai patokan pemberian bantuan kesana.

Sekolah Internasional Perancis di Jakarta mendukung dan membantu aksi kami.

Some of us are French, others are Indonesian, but all of us have been working together for a long time at the Lycee International Français de Jakarta. After the Tsunami on December 26 th 2004, we wished to initiate a substancial relief action to help the population of Aceh and of North Sumatra in Indonesia.

We wish to help rebuild schools that have been destroyed by the Tsunami and the earthquake: buildings and equipment, housing and furniture, the needs are tremendous. 1437 schools need complete or partial rebuilding in this region, which represents a considerable task that might require several years to bring to completion.

The purpose of our association is to find and collect donations, but also and foremost to ensure that the collected funds are directly and in their entirety used to rebuild schools and school equipment.

As a result we work without intermediary, and ensure directly the financing of the local entrepreneurs, after having ourselves established the cost estimations. We are in direct contact with the school principals and with the Unicef on location.

We have obtained an agreement in principal from the Ministry of National Education in Indonesia regarding our project and its functioning. We are in correspondence with the Comity of the Ministry of National Education in Indonesia in charge of the choice and the implantation of the schools to be built. In addition, the members of this Comity have suggested the mention of the origin of the donations that enabled the realisation of these projects to figure at the sites that benefited from them.

As of now, information about our initiative must be spread to all potential donors an all possible good will.
