Source:OGA Schorisse no. 11. page XXXVIII Type of Document: It
concerns a document written in the Book of Fiefs of the Land of Schorisse (Leenboek
vande van Schoorisse). The document dates back to March 3, 1597 and
describes how Adriaen de Ruijvere, son of Adriaen, accepts the vassalage of a
fief. His liege is the Count de Berlaymont, who through the marriage with
Margaretha, Countess de Lalaing, is lord of the Land of Schorisse. It
concerns a son (probably the oldest) of Lieutenant-Bailiff Adriaen De Ruyver.
Box indicates where Adraien de Ruijvere, son of Adriaen is mentioned. Opening Lines:
Dit is de grootte ende denonbrement van mijnen leene dat ick Adriaen de Ruijvere
fs Adriaens haudende ben in leene ende manschepe van edele heere mijn heere den
Graeve van Berlaijmont In causen syne ghesellemende (?) margriete Gravinne van
Lalaing, heere vande Lande van Schoorisse..."

It concerns a document written in the Book of Fiefs of the Land of Schorisse (Leenboek
vande Lande van Schoorisse). The document dates back to January 3, 1640 and
describes how Frans de Ruijvere, son of Adriaen, accepts the vassalage of a
fief. He bought this fief from Joos de temmerman, son of Luijcas.
His liege is the Countess de Lalaing, Baroness of the Land of Schorisse.
It concerns Frans (around 1590 - 1674), the son of Lieutenant-Bailiff Adriaen De
Ruyver. Underline indicates where Frans De Ruyver is mentioned. Opening Lines: Dit naervolghende is het rapport
denombrement ende overgheving van eenen leene dat ick frans de Ruijvere fs
Adriaens, haudende ben in leene ende manscheepe van hooghe edele ende moghende
