It describes how François (Frans) De Ruyver received a loan in return for a mortgage on some of his real estate. The document dates back to February 11, 1617. It is one of the first legal documents in which Frans De Ruyver is recorded. Opening Lines:"Kennende gij uwe lieden dat compareerde voor meyer ende schepenen van Roosbeke ende Ste-Blasius-Boecle" (Everybody should know that before mayor and alderman of Roosbeke and Sint-Blasius-Boekel came...).

Frans de Ruvere acts and signs as alderman of this village. It is one of the oldest documents found in which Frans De Ruyver is mentioned as alderman.
