news clip thumbnailIn addition to providing a forum for scattered members of the family to regain contact and keep in touch, this site is devoted to the recuperation and dissemination of the history of the family De Ruyver, originating from the Barony called Land of SchorisseE now sited in the south of the province of East-Flanders in Belgium. The life of every member of our family will eventually be described briefly, in as much as historical records and privacy concerns permit. If you suspect you're a member of our family please contact us! Our goal is comprehensiveness and inclusiveness; further contributions to this site are always welcome. This site is continually being updated as a) new information comes to our attention and b) the site designer and administrator finds time to mount it.

Future directions of this site include links to sites introducing the regions or towns where the De Ruyver ancestors lived. Also Web sites concerning the historical time or institutions affecting the life of the De Ruyvers will be linked to this site, as to permit the reader to get a more global picture. An effort will also be made to expand this Web site with detailed original articles or English translations of existing studies about the world of the De Ruyver ancestors.
