Day 2 - Tuesday - 26/10/04 - Cont.
From the Colosseum I went to see the church of *** San Pietro in Vinocoli (San Peter in chains) so called because it houses the chains of St. Peter - but is worth seeing for Michelangelo's statue of Moses which looks a lot like Charlton Heston (who was picked by Cecil B De Mille for the role of Moses because he looked like the statue).

The statue has little horns (due to Michelangelo's misunderstanding of the Hebrew Bible).
From there I took a bass to Trajan's column and forum, and also went up the steps of the ** Vittorio Emanuel Monument (the Vitoriano) to see the view.

At night I went to see the Pantheon, and went south to see the Bernini's
* Elephant in Piazza dela Minerva, and the Largo di Argentina - where Julius Caesar was assassinated (not much is left).

Dinner I ate at a nice Chinese restaurant at the southern end of the square (very cheap and very good) and dessert at
*** Giolitti near the Pantheon. This time I tasted Grand Marnie, kiwi, chestnuts, Champaign, white chocolate and berries.
*** Not to Miss at all cost            ** Not to Miss                     * Nice                      OK
