The Year 1387AD
On the 3th of Sherwwal (14 Oct)......... There arrived at court from Dehlek an offering, in which was an elephant, a cameleopard, an ostrich, and sundry wild beasts.
In the month of Shewwal (May 1305)......He despatched the son of Buz towards the territories of Egypt.....He set out on his journey in the first decade of the month, with all sorts of rarities of value..........of wild beasts, as elephants, wild asses, giraffes, all clothed with satin silk interwoven with gold thread in designs, and horses of price.........
