Cats Protection is a national charitable organisation
founded in 1927. It is Britain's oldest charity solely for the welfare
of cats.
Our work at Cats Protection has three main
objectives: 1. To rescue stray and unwanted cats and kittens,
rehabilitate and rehome them where possible. 2. To encourage the
neutering of cats not required for breeding. 3. To inform the public
on the care of cats and kittens.
The Dereham Branch shelter situated at
Longham (Norfolk) was opened in June 1999. We
home cats and kittens from a permanent shelter The shelter is open 7
days a week, 365 days a year. We are open to the public between 11am and
3pm every day (except some bank holidays) Last year, the
Branch helped hundreds of needy cats, including finding new homes for 600
cats and kittens. We also run an all year round neutering scheme to help
towards the cost of the operation.
