MY GOAL
What is the Battle of the Swing Cities?  It's the greatest dance competition where cities or swing scenes make a team to compete in 3 divisions and competes against other teams.  Beginner, intermediate, and advace dancers can compete without pressure cuz this comp is all about FUN!!!  Everyone claps and cheers for each other and we encourage beginners to actually compete so they get inspired to learn and dance more...and maybe even inspire others.  Basically, this is a comp for people who want to have an enjoyable time while dancing in front of their peers without too much pressure like those major dance competitions.  Plus, the sense of camaraderie is priceless.  Oh, and don't worry. There will be opening dancing, too!

This year only a maximum of 5 teams will compete for prizes and the covetted Velvet Cup which has been passed around 5 times now!  The team to beat is Team Lansing who has won the cup for 2 years in a row!  Will they go for a 3-peat?  Will there be a Team Detroit to step up and bring it back to Motown?  Will a powerful force from Ann Arbor hit up their first win?  Or Will there be an out of town team tear up the Motown Beatdown?
