South81 Email List Does it cost anything to join? No, it's free! Who can join? The South81 email list is for those who attended Denver South High and would have graduated in 1981, those who did graduate in 1981 and their significant others. Why does the list require owner's approval to join? This was done to prevent spammers. Do I have to email anything to the list? In general, no, but we do ask that you send a "Hi" note telling everyone who you are and that you've joined the list. (send to: mailto:[email protected] What if I don't want to participate in the discussions? That's fine. In list terms that is referred to as being a "lurker." In general there are far more lurkers than posters on any email list I love getting the list but want to go from getting individual emails to getting the days emails in one lump mailing. South81 Rebel Report (Newsletter)
Subscribing to the newsletter also helps keep expenses down for the reunion committee. When you are informed by the email version of the newsletter the expense of stamps, paper, printing and envelopes is eliminated. If you are a subscriber to the South81 email list the Rebel Report will be automatically posted there. There is no need for you to subscribe to the Rebel Report, that is unless you want too. Real Time Chats Real time chats allow you to "talk" with a friend or a whole group of people at the same time. Several companies offer their instant messaging applications free over the web. They are available to everyone. Now all that is needed is to make sure everyone is on the computer at the same time, has the same application and knows the screen/login name of everyone else. Or do you? If you decide to host a chat session just email us the date and time (and whether or not it is every week at this date and time), the application you are using and your screen name.
