Ma Jackson's (Contributed by Carol Hoodenpyle) I remember walking by Ma Jackson's on Lyons Avenue. It had an enclosed area, but also a place where people could walk up to the window and order. Mama once told me that Grandpa walked from his house on the corner of Henke and Hershe one Saturday afternoon. Within 20 minutes, he was back with a small pail of beer from Ma Jackson's. Grandma banished him to the garage, where he was apparently very content and happy.
