The Lone Ranger/Green Hornet Time Bridge
special updates page catching up with the men that made the music, Al Hirt and Billy May
Al Hirt, known as the 'king' of the horn, got his first trumpet, they say, at age three. His incredible musical career earned him many awards and accolades. Among his achievements was playing at the  XX Super Bowl game and  playing 'Ave Maria' for the pope.

Al Hirt is particularly loved by Green Hornet fans for his rendition of the 'Green Hornet theme for the 1966 TV show. Check out
'The Horn Meets The Hornet'. It's crossed Horn of Mr. Hirt with the Hornet sting of The Green Hornet is a classy way to remember this great man. A wonderful biography of Al Hirt can be found at:http://www.spaceagepop.com/hirt.htm

While Al Hirt created the Green Hornet TV theme based on "The Flight Of The Bumblebee",  the stirring episodic music is credited to another talented peer of Mr. Hirt.
Billy May has a full and distinguished career, see a terrific biography of him at http://www.spaceagepop.com/may.htm

A special thank you to Brad Bigelow at  http://www.spaceagepop.com/
for sharing his insights of the men who made the music.
