Tokokoe has three schools: a kindergarten, a primary school and Junior Secondary School (JSS).
Mister Kpodo is the headteacher of the KG and the Primary school. Mister Dzebre is the headmaster of the JSS.
Me at he the sign of Tokokoe Soshie Kordzi, one of the four parts of Tokokoe: Agbelengor, Motte, Sieshie Kordzi and Abudi.
This is the road to Hodzo, one of the neighbouring villages.
The students of the JSS, the school where I taught English, maths and P.E.
Class one pupils in temporary sheds, because the old building has collapsed. When that happened nobody got hurt. Students should be in proper classrooms and that is why my family and me are trying to raise funds for the reconstruction of the collapsed building.
Class five pupils in their temporary classroom made from bamboo and iron sheets.
The temporary sheds and the new stones for the new school block.
The primary school has about 400 students. This is one of the buildings, a three classroom structure, which of course is not enough to house all the classes. This is the only structure made by the government.
Buitlding of the new block in progress: a four classroom structure. When finished all the children will have a classroom for teaching.

Because of the building initiative the Ghana Education Service has sent three new teachers to the school. They are happy the school is being rebuild and the GES has confidence in the result.

We work together with the Wild Geese Foundation. They add money to funds raised by us. We have to raise 12.000 euros and they will add 7.000 euros.
Then we have all the costs covered.
The structure you see here below is another primary building that houses three classes. Tokokoe R.C. Primary school is almost completely a two stream school, which means you have A and B classes. At the moment they need ten classroom to accomodate everybody.
This is the outside of the building you see above. The building is in rough state and needs to be finished. The Dutch embassy in Accra helps us with that and you can see the
plastering and making of windows has already started.
