Niemeyer The 1998 Royal Gold Medal exhibition for Oscar Niemeyer was designed by DSA for the RIBAs special annual award. The exhibition captured Niemeyers love of curved forms and bright colours. Photographs and original sketches of Niemeyers famous building traced the distinct phases of his career from the early Pamulha phase through his years of exile during military dictatorship. Architects Communicating Architecture Architects Communicating Architecture features selected work by members of the Association of Consultant Architects at the Concord Gallery in central London. Proposals for the Olympic Sydney Stadium to the new international airport in South Korea were exhibited with individual designs for private clients. Projects were communicated in various ways including models, digital and more conventional drawn media. Aga Khan Award for Architecture DSA designed the installation of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture exhibition at the RIBA. The panels were designed as open books space and light flowed through the panels symbolising the flow of knowledge and ideas. DSA also organised a childrens workshop to promote better understanding of non-European architectural cultures and traditions. Bilbao 2000 DSA facilitated the city of Bilbao to publicise its vigorous schemes for urban regeneration in the UK. Exhibitions were organised in London, Portsmouth and Glasgow. Drawings and models of the now famous Gehry Guggeheim project and the Calatrava airport and bridge went on display to the public in Britain. An exhibition catalogue and flyers were produced in English and Spanish by DSA / Book Art for the UK events. |
