Cabales Serrada Escrima -Advanced Training - (Black Sash) -- taught by - Grandmaster Vincent Angel Cabales Sr. I began training October of 1992 and I am still training for my Master Degree. Grandmaster Vincent Angel Cabales Sr. has been appointed as Senior Advisor in the Filipino Martial Arts Collective Society, July 5th. 1999 Grandmaster Vincent A. Cabales was, inducted into the "Filipino Martial Arts Hall Of Fame" and honored as the "Outstanding Grandmaster Instructor of The Year" by the United States Kali Association Filipino Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Kung Fu San Soo - 2006 awarded Brown Belt by - Sifu Michael Trimble DOD (retired) . Michael, worked in Anti-terrorism. prior to 9-11. Muay Thai - coached by Master Brooks Mason for several years starting about August of 1991. Incidentally, Brooks coached Don "the Dragon" Wilson who was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for more World Champion Kickboxing Title wins than anyone else in history. Brooks trained eight world champion kickboxers and was named Trainer of the year by the World Kickboxing Association and was also selected for Kickboxing Hall of Fame, in 1985. Brooks also "worked the corner" of the ring as the third man in several world title boxing fights at Caesar�s Palace in Las Vegas and New York's Madison Square Garden. Taekwondo - coached by Master Brooks Mason. (AYDO System of David Ayers.) Taekwondo Red Belt - Grand Master Jong H. Lee . (I started Sept. 7, 1972 and trained off and on until about 1979.) Grandmaster Jong Lee taught the respected Tiger Division of ROX Soldiers of South Korea. I am an instructor of Cabales Serrada Escrima, and I began my training in October of 1992. I've written magazine articles discussing martial arts and Cabales Serrada Escrima. I have taught at the Cabales Serrada Escrima Academy for over a decade. Comment: Most martial arts only give the practitioners a false sense of security against weapons, yet weapons are involved in the reality of almost any vicious attack, regardless the culture or locality. Although, empty hands against weapons is a last resort we may not have time to get to a weapon when attacked. It is for that very reason that, Serrada, as a self defense system is a great choice. Serrada is based upon the use of sword and dagger. Stick training translates from stick to blade and empty hand fighting techniques that will work against weapons.
