Cooper Power Systems Employee Newsletter - Page 1 of 2
When Human Resources lost staff and new hires had no ability to take over newsletter production, Dennis J. O'Boyle volunteered his services. Creating the entire document on the desktop utilizing Quark
XPress, Microsoft Word, Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator, O'Boyle coordinated efforts with contributors and also used his print-purchasing background to improve the overall appearance with a better grade of paper at a reduced cost versus previous newsletters.

The article detailed below covers some of the antics of "The China Group", an
ad hoc committee headed by O'Boyle to provide off-hour and weekend transportation, meals and entertainment. As a result of his hundreds of hours of unpaid overtime, the company rewarded O'Boyle with a trip to California. He and a co-worker took the Chinese visitors on a four-day sight-seeing trip covering Universal Studios, Disneyland, San Francisco and the Napa Valley -- where O'Boyle's favorite movie, American Graffiti, was filmed in 1972. While in Turloc, California, he spoke with people familiar with the classic.
