Skye has continued to grow both physically and emotionally. She is indeed a treasure to have around. She has many of the nuances that Yani had, perhaps that endears her more to me. She loves to give you presents. She is so pleased to see you when you have been absent, even though it is sometimes only for a brief period, that she races around looking for something to give you. If she can't find a toy in desperation she will race to the garden and next thing she is in front of you offering you her gift, a leaf which has fallen from the tree, a small twig she found on the ground. Sometimes you are lucky and get the stuffed kiwi or santa claus. There is such a lot of love in her eyes as she sits, quietly making squeaky noises as she waits for you to take her gift to you.
She loves to touch and has the need to be close.
Hogan and Skye have formed a very strong bond of friendship. During Hogan's recovery period from hip surgery they had to be separated most of the time but they had daily visits with 'down' play.
