Then comes the announcement that there is a technical fault and the plane will be delayed until 2:30pm. So free airport lunch for everybody as well. Finally, we manage to take off at 3pm. A relatively nice 7 hour flight to Perth and we all managed to get some sleep.
Arriving in Perth at 2am we all feel like we are back at square 1 on the tiredness stakes, but manage to stay up long enough to have toast and coffee and head for bed.
It's now our first day in Australia and at what is now 11am, the children are still crashed out. I did try to wake them up at 9:30am to come to sort out the holiday rental but they were having none of it so David and my brother have had to go it alone. The list of what we need to do seems to be growing minute by minute and all I'm worried about is my tesco email account and my mobile phone! Sad isn't it.
