Denbigh Street before alterations
Shows the original position of the sheds which never made any sense.
This is the North facing side which was soon to be demolished
The front of the house, you can see the glass panels in the porch, which didn't last long once I got going..
This is the South (non sunny) side of the house which was in terrible order, and took a lot of work to renovate.
The east facing side of the house - that chimney stack didn't last long either!
Part of the South wall. The roof drainage was running right into the ground at this corner - the timbers were sodden.

See the chimney being wrecked
Is this covered under the Subaru warranty? 1 1/2 ton load.
120 years of rot. It's actually in amzing order really.
The roof drains ran right into the ground at this corner- what a mess. Found some hob-nail boots under there, but no gold....
Sash windows were shot. Striped them right back to the individual frames and replaced.
120years of no insulation. Not any more. Inserted 50mm slabs of Polystyrene. Bloody hard work too.
I get angry with the porch - those 'twee' windows must go!
W a t c h t h e r o o f f a l l
I do acrobatics getting the finneal onto the gable end
Another great find - the original chimney
Something missing?
