"To all.. and ending."
Uriah Bishop

The Crucible, having lost Kate, John, Chet and a number of other friends in gaining God's Arrow, struggle to find a way to communicate with the spirit as well as decide how to defeat the Grand Maw whose presence grows more and more powerful with each passing day. Shep discovers a group calling iself the Orphic Circle, a cult composed of business men and archivists who plumb the depths of the Underworld in search for hidden lore. Through them, the crucible gains a means to slowly learn Enochian and attempt to inform the spirit Abel of what they hope to do. When the spirit relates the Malfeans as the "angels of the God" the Crucible carefully weigh among them whether or not the Malfeans may possibly be that which has long been believed to be the angels of death, the psychopomps.

Deciding the best way to decide what to do would be to visit the Archivist, the crucible attempts to cover first all loose ends in their lives before meeting up for one final trek into the underworld. Bobby inherits a fortune from his mother and builds a new wing to care for orphaned children. Andrew visits the suicide hotline and boosts their moral. Shep gives his mother in Florida a call. Matthew gives his ex-lover, Nastasha a visit.

But things do not remain simple for long.
