Cleric Rinpoche
Finding the temple a sanctuary, the Crucible attempts to learn why it seems greatly resistant to not only spooks but more so those of high Spite. Seeing that other belief systems may have truth in their practices, the Crucible promise to consider such things in the near future in their battles against the spectres. With Kate Dennison having lost her child and Hoyt Masterson to Vincent Fiorello's betrayal of the Crucible, the Banshee demands that the group work on making sure things work out this time. Focussing on doing what she felt she had been long delayed in doing, she sets out to find Tom Hayes and bring him back from his Spectre-hood somehow. Through judicious use of Bedlam and Unearthly Repose, the Crucible succeed in capturing their former comrade and struggle to find a means to reach him even in his demonic state. But it is not until the visit of a strange character that the thought of Tom Hayes ever returning becomes a possible reality.
Mr. Jigsaw Defying the realness the hive-material fused walls of the brewery had to spooks, a strange white-clad being calling itself Mr. Jigsaw reveals itself to the Crucible and redeems Tom Hayes from his state. Calling him an "Orphan Grinder", the visitor offers to share information with the Crucible and work with them, claiming his "employers" prefer it so. Sensing a deal with the "devil" the Crucible warily agrees... but the chance to bring back fallen ghosts from their roles as Spectres is far too tempting an offer to refuse.
