Demmy
1994-1995
While most of my friends created their ideal boyfriends (hey, we were fourteen at the time) or a steamy, sassy, extremely pretty alter ego, I created for myself a little girl.  It was our way of wish fulfillment and what I wished for most in the world was a d

Hey!  You still havent gotten around to why shes blue and stuff!
Im getting to that!  -_-O   See, at the time I was really into
Disneys Gargoyles and WARPs ElfQuest.  When I first created Demmy she was heavily influenced by those two series, more specifically by the characters of Demona and Ember.  Demmy was originally half gargoyle and half elf.  She was born in the school gym class after first period P.E.  She was hatched out of an egg and for the next few months she was an infant, read to and cared for just like a real baby.  I would get one or another of my friends to write a letter from her babysitter to check up on her and see how she was doing while I was in school.  Meanwhile I would play my fantasies of motherhood out on paper with sweet drawings of myself with the infant Demmy.
Okay, so why is Demmy blue and why does she have a tail?  Are those wings?  Hey, Ive always wondered, does she have scales?  Where did you get the idea for her anyway?
Unfortunately, Demmys infancy didnt last very long.  I soon got bored with an imaginary child that could not walk or talk.  So I aged her.  Over the next few months Demmy grew steadily from infant to toddler.  Which is where she remained for all of the rest of 94, 95, and the most of 96but that's another chapter.
By the way, yes, she used to have wings, and yes, she has scales.
1996
Demmy  enters "The Terrible Twos".

**** In case you didnt read the introduction, Demmy was created to be my daughter. My friends and I used to play this game where we talked to cartoon characters and role-played as characters ourselves. Most of us made up our own characters, but we all used them for differing purposes.
