| In Action Comics Weekly #601 (1988), the first issue of the title's weekly anthology format, the Green Lantern serial (written by James Owsley, art by Gil Kane) started with a major shake-up: the murder of longtime supporting character Katma Tui (the former Green Lantern of the planet Korugar) at the hands of GL's frequent nemesis Star Sapphire. The next chapter in issue #602 began with the hero's reaction to the murder. |
