"And then ... she said that I, I had nerve to be calling after what I had
said. But it wasn't me!! I, so wanted to tell her that but I couldn't. It's
bad enough that she's not going to give me back my life and took my Ommy but
then she left me without a mommy. And I really need one!"
Jane opened her arms and pulled De into a hug petting her hair as she tried to
calm her down. "Shush I'm here for you. Whenever you need to talk. Even if you
and Nick break up which I don't see happening. So as your mom I want you to
tell me about this boy you're living with." Jane said sweetly as only a loving
mother could.
"SLUMBER PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!" Aaron was running around like a chicken with it's
head cut off.
"AARON!" Jane yelled and instantly both Nick and Aaron froze.
"Wow, I need to learn that."
"Well, when you and Nick finally have kids you'll pick it up and I'll give you
all my mommy secrets all written in my Mommy Book. Those will be very cute
children."
"If we're lucky they'll look like Nick. Otherwise I can see the rumor mill
saying that we adopted or the babies were switched at the hospital or
something."
"Why's that?" Nick asked as he walked in with the goodie tray and sat down
behind De with the plush sofa at his back as he wrapped his arms around her
and tangled his legs with hers. Something they did automatically without even
a thought.
"Cause ... well, your Blackfoot, I'm Shasta and Cherokee, but my father was
half black half Cherokee so that's always a wonder. The only reason I'm so
light skinned is cause Ommy's Swedish, Scots, Irish stock. All light and pail
stocks on her side of the family."
"Well, if they want to start rumors let them. It won't matter to me if they
are because they'll be ours and that's all that will matter not what everyone
else thinks. Now I went out and got Who framed Roger Rabbit so are we going to
watch it or can we just watch Just Civil War Trio? I've got them all lined up.

Aaron just picked up the remote and turned the movie on. "You two can be as
mushy as you want as long as we can watch the movie and you two don't start
procreating here in front of us. Hard enough to think that you two do that at
night in your room."
"We don't `procreate' in our room at night as you like to put it Aaron not
everything is about sex! But then your still ruled by your hormones so I guess
we'll let it slip this time." Nick said never looking from the wide screen tv
once the dvd started up.
