Georgia found some papers with some birth/marriage statistics listed: Mildred married Clare Hathaway in August 1946 and had two children: Patricia Jo (July 1947) and Phil Roger (December, year not listed). Shirley married E. Lloyd Rivest in February 1945. They had Ronald Lynn in May 1947 and Brian Roger in May 1950. Clare Married Janet Rice in November 1949, and had Linda Susan in April 1951 and John Charles in August 1952. No mention is made of Lois.
Georgia also found a letter addressed from Mrs. Maude A. Warren, 416 Genesee Street, Apt. 3, Owosso, MI 48867 to Mr. James J. Carmichael, 15 Savannah Street, Apt 5N, Rochester, NY, 14607. It was dated June 28, 1978 and reads as follows: Dear James, This is a surprise letter for you and I'm writing Jean, 72 Beresford Rd., Rochester. I will be riding with my daughter Mildred and her husband, Clare Hathaway out to my daughter, Shirley Rivest, Schenectady, leaving here Sat., July 8 early. We will not be driving into Rochester, but would like to show them where Grandma and Grandpa Darling lived, and possibly take some pictures. Little do I know about where you or Jean might be July 8th, but towards evening if it isn't raining we hope to be on Reservoir Road east of Geneseo near Lowe Corners -- and Jean now owns land and started building. I want some pictures to bring back to Lawrence. This will be 32 years that Mildred has visited Shirley and plan on being back the following Sat. I wish that we had the time to visit both of you. Maybe you go down there too weekends. Love, your cousin, Maud.
