From the President:

Well, its the middle of February and winter is passing us by. Its been another mild winter and Alex Summers was telling me that he has some flowers in bloom the earliest hes ever recorded. I like mild and the older I get the less I like winter.
To help us get through the rest of winter, were going to hold our winter meeting at the Seaford Library on Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 PM. This year well have a slide show with some great slides from Clyde Crockett. I hope this will get everyone excited about getting out in your garden this spring.
Remember your dues only $8 per household. Dottie Teixeria is our dues and membership chairperson. Her address is Rt. 3 Box X10, Georgetown, DE 19947. You may pay your dues at the March meeting if you attend.
We will visit the Alex Summers garden on May 19. Some of you havent seen Alexs garden, so please plan to attend. Also, well have a garden tour at Jan and Greg Thompson on July 14. I know this is later, but this is when it suits, so lets try it. Its very possible that a June date would be hotter. And, in September well visit the garden of Elaine Smith.
It was voted on at our September 2001 garden tour to donate $100 to the American Red Cross to help the people of the September 11 attack. Our treasure. Joan Parman, took care of this.
Remember to wear your name tags to the meeting. Well order name tags for those who dont have them. Guests are always welcome. We will have a short Board meeting after our regular meeting.
